This bike was kept in a barn
when I found it listed on craigslist. Even though she was
thirty six years old she only had 5800 original miles! I
started out by cleaning her at the local car wash with a
power washer (just to get the big chunks off first) I
stripped the bike down next and then dove into the wiring
mess. I added new turn signals, new taillight, custom paint
(urethane base coat/clear coat camouflage), new tires, new
battery, I recovered the seat, and added new handgrips.
Finally I reworked the muffler, removed and cleaned the
carburetor, changed the oil, spark plug, and installed a new
o-ring chain. I painted the exhaust, front lower legs,
engine cases, and a few other chassis parts touched up and
now she's ready to ride!
